Osini
between Gairo and Jerzu, Ogliastra
Osini is located along the road that leads to Gairo Jerzu, in the Valley of Pardu where the landscapes are worth a visit in itself.
Osini is divided into two countries: Osini Nuova, built after 1951, and shortly afterwards Osini Vecchia, abandoned between 1951 and 1960 after a terrible flood.
The village is very characteristic, with narrow streets, houses with wooden doors framed by a halo red or blue, and a seventeenth-century church surrounded by houses and farm tools.
Nearby, there is the nuragic Serbissi, a short distance from the tomb Neolithic S'Orku, who legend has it was the burial place of giant fantastical beings.
The peculiarity of the complex, which consists of eight towers nuragiche, consists in the fact of being built above a huge natural cave.
On the highest peak of the mountains that overlook the town has the remains of an old building, perhaps a medieval castle.
