You have
500 grams of orange peel
500 grams of honey
100 grams of sugar
150 grams of almonds
procedure
After removing the white part underneath the orange peel, cut into strips the thickness of two millimeters and the length of 5-6 cm. Soak them for 5 days, taking care to change the water every day because the skin loses its bitter taste. After the fifth day, drain the water, put the slices in a pan on low heat, and add honey. Stir often and carefully until the strips have not absorbed all the honey. Now add in the saucepan the sugar and the almonds, cut into strips and lightly toasted in the oven. Overthrow the preparation of a sheet of aluminum foil and level with a rolling pin until it reaches the desired uniform thickness (typically a centimeter and a half); let stand a few hours. Then cut with a knife in the manner and in the desired size; or place in the special cups.
